Next time
Every session ends with what changes next time.
Hit every set and the weight goes up. On a rep range, you add reps first. Come up short three sessions at the same weight and the plan resets the weight on its own, with an undo.
Strength training plans for iPhone · Coming soon
You already track your lifts. Most apps just log them. Gymento runs the plan: it sets the weight for every session, notices a stuck lift within three sessions, and shows the reason for every change.
Progression
And when a lift stops moving, it notices after three short sessions, not three months. Every change shows the sessions behind it.
Next time
Hit every set and the weight goes up. On a rep range, you add reps first. Come up short three sessions at the same weight and the plan resets the weight on its own, with an undo.
In the session
Every changed weight says where it came from, right where you log it. “Reset from 175 lb to 160 lb. Build up from there.”
Your call
After two resets at the same weight, or three weeks with no new best, it asks: back off and widen the range, build reps first, or swap the exercise.
Every screen on this page is drawn from the app’s own code and copy.
The plan
Progress comes from a plan: the right exercises, a clear next step every session, and weight that goes up when you’ve earned it. Start from one lifters already trust, or build your own. Either way, every day, exercise and range stays yours to change.
Start from a blueprint
Exercises picked for the equipment your gym actually has, in your units. Swap anything before you start.
Or build your own
Pick your days and the workouts that run on them, then fill each one. Every exercise gets its own sets and rep range, and progression runs on all of it.
Tap a workout to choose its exercises.
Every exercise is yours
Change any exercise, its sets, rep range, rest or progression, on one day or across the whole plan. Plans that run in blocks add phases, and any day takes extra exercises of your own.
Plan check
Gymento counts every muscle’s sets across your week, and Plan check lists what to change: exercises your gym can’t do, muscles short of sets, muscles trained on just one day. Each row opens the fix. Secondary muscles count as half a set, and every target is yours to change.
Widgets
One glance shows what’s next: today’s weight, how your week is going, or your next session. Tap it to open today.
Training day
Today’s main lift and its weight. When a record is in reach, it says so. The larger size lists what else goes up.
Your week
Each session ticks off its day. Finish the week and your streak counts up, next to your best.
Lock Screen and StandBy
Today’s lift on one line, and a ring that fills with each session this week.
Around the plan
Check-in
Tap Start and Gymento asks how you actually feel right now. On a rough day it offers a lighter session, and on a great one a little more weight. Every change shows before you start, and you can always skip the question and train as planned.
Gym
A 110 lb pulldown at one gym isn’t 110 lb at the next. Machines keep their own history at each gym you train at, and free weights stay the same everywhere. The first time you use a machine somewhere new, Gymento tells you where the number came from, so you can set it by feel.
Body
Log a weigh-in, a body-fat reading or any of 13 body measurements, head to ankle. Give one a goal and its tile shows the gap, with the trend underneath.
Apple Health
Sessions you run on Apple Watch save as workouts, with heart rate, energy and your effort. Bodyweight, body fat and waist go in as you log them. Beyond the heart rate your Watch shows during a session, Gymento reads nothing from Apple Health, and none of it is ever sold.
Cardio
Conditioning is its own plan, running alongside your lifting on the days you give it. Your strength plan stays first, and both land on one week.
A second plan
Pick the days, then fill each one. A cardio day that shares a date with a lift sits either side of it; on a rest day it runs at the time you pick. Each session is a time or a distance at an effort you set.
On the watch
One swipe from the logger: heart rate, calories and which of five heart-rate zones you’re in, worked out from your max heart rate.
Dynamic Island and Lock Screen
During cardio, your heart-rate zone sits in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, beside the set and the clock. Check it mid-effort without opening the app.
Questions
No, Gymento is a paid app. The price comes with the launch, in the email the waitlist gets the day it’s out.
No. Plans, logging and progression all run on iPhone. With a Watch you can log sets from your wrist, see your heart-rate zone live, and save each session to Apple Health as a workout.

Your plan, yes: rebuild it day by day, or start from one of 13 proven plans and change what you need. Past sessions from other apps can’t be imported.
Gymento doesn’t read your sleep, HRV or other recovery data from Apple Health. Your weigh-ins, your measurements and how you rate yourself when you start a session are stored in your account. None of it is sold, shared with advertisers or sent to analytics. Your waitlist email is kept with Resend, the service that sends our email, and gets one email to confirm, then one the day Gymento is out. Nothing else. Read the privacy policy.
